Found a New Apiary Location

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

We met some very nice Organic Farmers a few weeks ago and decided to take them up on their offer to start an organic apiary at on their property.  Today we made the trip to their farm and we were very impressed by them and what they have accomplished.  We will be starting a new Apiary with maybe two or three TBH’s this early spring in beautiful Cayucos, at the 7th Heaven Organics.  We think this will be an excellent location for our bees and that the bees will do a wonderful job of increasing the farms yield.  I can almost taste the berry honey now.

Apiary Visit

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

Visited the Four Elements Farm Apiary today.  We found the colonies doing very well, they have closed off 2/3 of their access wholes and had bees returning with pollen at the open entrances.  No pest seemed present, so all seems well.  We will be placing bricks underneath the legs to prevent future rain mishaps.
